Rural Internet by State
Country Broadband serves rural homes and businesses in all 48 contiguous states — the addresses cable and fiber companies never built out to. Pick your state for the counties that need it most, plans, pricing and the questions people there actually ask.
The short answer
About 8,446,000 homes in rural America have no wired internet at all — no cable, no fiber, and no phone-line service fast enough to count as broadband. That is 23% of every rural home in the 48 contiguous states, according to the FCC’s own coverage data as of December 2025. The states with the most of them are Texas (897,523), California (535,459), Michigan (370,395), Missouri (364,975), Illinois (354,794) and Wisconsin (329,483). Country Broadband is available across all 48 states — Alaska, Hawaii and the U.S. territories are not served. Plans start at $39.99 a month, every plan includes unlimited data, installation is free, and coverage is confirmed one address at a time. Because we deliver over a combination of fiber and wireless connections rather than being locked into one, we can serve addresses that single-technology providers have to turn down.
